Had a great day at the Tampa Comic Con. Sold some decks of Nature Dome and spread the word to some great people who have friends and causes that will hopefully help get the word out even more.
Caught up with the guys at Fierce Comics (http://www.fiercecomics.com/), who are doing well with The Maniacal Smile and Redneck Red (but can always use more support for these great independent titles). Also got to meet former WWE (and possibly future TNA) wrestler Kizarny, who was a very cool and much more normal guy than the tattoos, braided beard and crazy contact lenses would lead you to believe. If you are a wrestling fan at all, hit up Dixie Carter on Twitter (http://twitter.com/tnadixie) and let her know that Kizarny is a perfect fit for TNA--and maybe just the foil that Jeff Hardy needs to take both guys to new heights.
Many, many thanks to my friend Joanne Conte, face-painter extraordinaire, for dropping by and setting up to paint the faces of anyone who bought a deck. She's an amazing artist who obviously has a big heart and is willing to put in time to help out her friends. Check out her amazing talents at her site: http://www.bestfaceandbodyart.com/. If you have any parties, events, conventions, etc. coming up, she can do it all.
Now for all the next steps that come out of anything like this . . . gotta get the deck art out on www.deviantart.com, gotta get some decks up on eBay and Amazon, and need to reach out to a couple people who expressed interest in bringing Nature Dome into some classrooms (where it definitely belongs).
Onward and upward!
